Chocolate Hills

Twin Bike Zip

Chocolate Hills is one of the Philippines pride, it can be seen at Carmen, Bohol Island Visayas Philippines. It has a total of1776 hills with the height of 30-50 Meters, the highest hill is 120 meters. The conical Chocolate hills are scattered within a fifty square kilometer area.

There are some majestic stories you can here around Bohol on how this beautiful place made. The famous one is there are two giants who are playing each other and throwing muds to each other. However geologists have differing views about how these hills were formed. One plausible theory is that they are weathered formations of a marine limestone lying on top of an impenetrable clay base. Either way chocolate Hills beauty is one of a kind.

The Best time to visit chocolate hills is rainy season because the grass is turning green and its not hot.

Since 1988 the Chocolate hills are Philippine’s third National Geological Monument. It was also submitted to be a UNESCO World Heritage; however the submission was not yet approved.

Best place to be in chocolate hills is in Chocolate Hills Adventure Park because they have lots of activity and you can see Chocolate hills in different angle.
